Instructor-Led Training
Instructor-Led Training (ILT) is traditional face-to-face instruction. Trainers and trainees in the same place at the same time progress together through a series of didactic and (hopefully) interactive learning experiences. ILT instruction may include a pre-work or home study component that learners complete independently outside the training workshop.
Benefits of ILT include:
Face-to-Face Interaction – Learners develop rapport and supportive relationships with instructors and peers.
“Real Time” Facilitation – The facilitator or instructor can easily check for understanding, clarify content, and offer feedback to reinforce learning.
Kinesthetic Learning – ILT is particularly well-suited for skill-based instruction.
Motivation – Some people perform better in a controlled environment with direct eye contact with the facilitator and their peers.
Successful ILT is designed to engage and challenge learners with a blend of collaborative and independent learning experiences.
